Running attack leads Lincoln to 3-0 mark on the season

The running attack of the Lincoln County Patriots has taken coach Spencer Crutchfield’s team to a 3-0 record after Friday’s 54-14 thumping of Anderson County.

The Patriots got another big night out of the backfield with Clayton Davis and Rodney Alcorn each scoring three touchdowns while racking up more than 140 yards apiece. Davis carried the ball 10 times for 145, and Alcorn had 19 touches for 142 yards.

Thaeden Garr had just three rushes for 20 yards, but he tallied two touchdowns in the win.

Other Patriot rushers included Dalton Board (20 yards), Sawyer Horton (17 yards), Micah Phillips (7 yards), Elan Lane (3 yards), and Kevin Haney (2 yards) with one carry each.

The Patriots only threw four passes on the night, but they were accurate. Sawyer Horton was 1-for-2 for 59 yards, while Davis was 2-for-2 with 28 yards.

On the receiving end of those passes were Davis (59 yards), Skyler Quinn (15 yards), and Lee Amon (13 yards), who had one catch each.
